DO pheros we wear harm insects around us?

I am no expert but I don't see how they could as they are replicas of what our bodies normally produce.

I´m not quiet shure if this is a joke or not or are you a bee-keeper or are you working with insects jobwise?
I didn´t have any reactions from insects yet...

You have all of the pheromones in you..you just raise their level a bit

I agree with bass-man, I don't think there is a pheramone created that will "harm" insects. You may be able to get something will attract or repell them, however. I don't believe any of the stuff we are interested in will do anything of the sort.

yes it was hilarious, but most seemed to agree it probably due to the scent in chikara rather than the pheromones in it. I still don't know, it was quite embarrasing when everyone is looking at this poor kid being followed by bee's everywhere..

Pheromones are carriers of information, not poisons.
Although there are some similarities, indeed even commonalities of pheromones across species lines, for the most part they tend to be species specific.

Even though some species have been found to emit "trauma pheromones" to warn other members of it's species of danger, the pheromones used in pest control do not in themselves harm the targets, but rather lure them into traps, or disrupt their reproductive processes.

You may have seen "Beetle Traps" that use a beetle attractant pheromone to lure the targets into a trap from which they cannot escape.

There is also a strategy used in farming where the pest is identified, its sexual pheromones are mimicked, and the fields are inundated with the synthetic attractant which greatly reduces the males' of the species ability to locate the actual breeding females who are exuding the genuine version of the attractant. In this way the pest population is greatly reduced without the use of toxic substances, which is why agricultural pheromone use is on the rise.

I seriously doubt that any Pheromone that we produce, or any synthetic version thereof would do any harm to insects. There even exists the possibililty that our pheromones may help to attract insects that feed on humans such as mosquitos or gnats. But that's just speculation on my part.

The only pheromones that I believe would result in any harm to insects, and only indirectly at that, would be the ones mentioned above, or those that are produced by insect eating plants which are ATTRACTANT pheromone analogs, and not harmful to the insects in and of themselves.
