Hey, I've looked for a while on Google and haven't found much about an answer to this, but have noticed other people experience it. It seems that my left armpit smell at least 5 times more than my right. My right can smell like nothing, but my left can be strong. I have started the no antipers/deoderant about a week ago and just water washing. It seems as if the amount I perspire underarms and the strength of the scent has mellowed down a lot. So this is good. I have no EOs to use, so I've just been putting a few dabs of Lolita Lempika there. About 4 dabs on my left and 2 on my right. It works for a few hours, but by like noon I can smell the BO pretty surely. But apperently nobody has noticed or had a bad effect. But anyways, my main question was: why does my left armpit smell so much stronger than my right?
The only thing I can possibly think of is that I read something from the UK that people that are usualy right handed, put more anti/deoder on their left armpit. And so after years of this, it has done some neggitive buildup and is still there.

I think the proximity to one's heart and greater blood velocity could have something to do with it -- it's the same for me, a left hander.
How about others?
You might want to invest in some sandalwood, or maybe try a natural powder if not.
Try to sweat it out and exfoliate.
You are noticing your armpit smell is improving, as predicted. As you continue to cleanse and adjust you may well notice even more improvement.
You also might notice certain foods or substances you take in affect your pits greatly, moreso than others. Use that knowledge.

My right is stronger, and I'm right-handed. I also notice a stronger but more pleasant scent since starting to use pheromones and not using antiperspirant.

That's interesting. Do you put an EO or 'mones there instead?

EO, usually sandalwood or amber or a mix of the two. Occasionally a deodorant crystal. But even if I go a day with nothing, it's still more pleasant than it was before -mone use.

i still stank up the pits when wearing Chikara. If I leave Chikara on overnight, I notice the pits reek with BO. Don't wear mones on pits or anywhere near it, so im baffled.

that's an observation i and few others have made canivaro, but no one seems to have a clear answer.
the effect seems to happen to me if i've used -none products, and is quite noticeable.

So basicly saying, that say, go a few days using nothing, even mones, then one day wear mones anywhere but around your pits, and then by the end of the day that they stink worse/more than the did the previous plain day? I'm thinking that's what you're saying, if so, that's quite interesting.
In regard to carnivo comments,
Nol (which is in many of our products) causes a lutenizing hormone response in men and women, which in turn, I believe, raises testosterone levels, which metabolites of eventually get desposited onto our skin, which then is converted by bacteria into something even stinkier. That bacteria is more prevelent in your hairy areas, ie pits. The stinky conversions are pheromones, and pheromones also get converted again into stinkier things.

what i'm saying is that i've been using the same brand anti-perspirant deodorant for several years. by now i know how my armpits smell in the morning. if i happen to skip a day of showering i know about what level my armpits are going to stink like.
with dailly showering, if i wear mones that have -none when i wake up in the morning my armpits smell much much stronger than if i had not wore mones and skipped a day of showering, and it's a much more intense bitter smell, not my regular body odor smell.

I've wondered if none raised our t-levels because it can certainly make us feel pissy but haven't seen or don't recall seeing those in the know say it does. But there very well could be a feedback loop on our androgens, which in turn will change our scent.

it's possible that by applying extra pheromones on our body that we are giving bacteria all the ingredients they need for a fine meal and a large family in our armpits.
it could also be that the pheromones are entering out bloodstream through our skin the way medicinal patches such as the nicotine patch work. if this is the case then people who apply pheromones in their clothes should not report extra body odor with -none products. any clothing dabbers here can give a report?

That would be interesting to find out. If clothdabbers get the same effect, it may be through VNO reactions, rather than via bloodstream. But if it is absorbed like that, then that may be an idea to tone down some BO smell by having it not contact skin. Some food for thought here.

Fatal, exactly what I'm saying.
BJF, you may be right on. Interesting, and I believe it could be something like that, but I don't think it's -NOL because I also use 'SoE', and it doesn't cause stinky pits.

Side question, if I get some sandalwood EO, it sais they're too strong to be put directly on the skin, and should be diluted first. Are you guys talking about a possible diluted mix(of what and how), or is that 1 drop of the pure sandalwood EO? Thanks!

If you use 1 drop and spread it out among several places it's fine to use straight, IMHO.

Ok, well I bought some EO sandalwood of eBay from naturesinventory for about $20. So I reveived it in the mail today, and I must say I'm not too fond of the smell. I dono, it's not BAD, it's just, ehh, not very sharp and clean. Which I assume that's the way it's not supposed to be, being involved in as much base notes as it is. Although being novice when it comes to identifying scent notes, I quickly regarded it to Gucci Rush, which I don't like, mainly apperently to the sandalwood scent. It's livable though. Anyways, I will try using it for underarms tommorow. 1 drop split between both arms? Here's some info I found about it:
Medicinal Applications
Action
alterative, antibacterial, antiseptic, astringent, carminative, disinfectant, diuretic, expectorant, hemostatic, refrigerant, sedative, stimulant.
Uses
Sandalwood is used for:
acute dermatitis
bronchitis
cystitis
eye diseases
gonorrhea
herpes zoster
infection
palpitations
sunstroke
urethritis
vaginitis
The medicinal properties of sandalwood reside in the oil, which can be pressed from the wood or extracted with alcohol or water. The antiseptic and disinfectant properties of this oil are similar to those of cubeb oil. The oil can also be used for bronchitis and for inflammation in mucous tissue. A decoction of the wood may be helpful for indigestion and fever and externally for skin problems, especially those of bacterial origin.
Sandalwood cools and calms the entire body and mind. It affects the circulatory, digestive, respiratory and nervous systems. It relieves fever, thirst, burning sensation and stops sweating. It is good for fever or overexposure to the sun.
Sandalwood is good for most of inflammatory conditions and for cleansing the blood. The oil or paste is useful for most infectious sores or ulcers if applied externally.
Sandalwood helps the awakening of intelligence. It also aids in the transmutation of sexual energy.
This is from the website where I bought it from:
Sandalwood: Fluid retention, scarring, acne, skin care, aphrodisiac, relaxing, stress, tension, nausea, nervous exhaustion and chronic illness. Antiseptic, antidepressant, tonic, astringent, emollient, calmative, anti-infectious. Sedates the nervous system, subduing nervousness, anxiety and insomnia, reduces nerve pain and relaxes brainwaves. Encourages new cell growth. Good for dry and oily hair. Acne, dry, aged, chapped skin, good aftershave moisturizer, useful as hair dressing, increases water retention of collagen. Heart tonic, cardiac fatigue, increases circulation. Increases fat metabolism, aids digestion. Stimulates development of sex hormones and reproductive cells, pelvic and prostrate decongestant. Possible male pheromone-like, testosterone stimulant. Scent: Warm, rich, sweet, woody, light, base note. Source: Wood
A few intersting things to question.
Stimulates development of sex hormones and reproductive cells, pelvic and prostrate decongestant. Possible male pheromone-like, testosterone stimulant.
Hmmm they mention a few things about sexual properties. What's the deal with these. Also, it sais it's good to stop sweating. Is that a major reason why it's recomended for underarms?
To take advantage of these benifits, can just smelling them and being applied on the skin take care of most of the beinifits? Or do most of them have to be done a special way?
Thanks!
