you\'ve smelt it on a Man then?
Yes! I like it on a man and I like it on me, because it smells like a sexy man has been on me.

I\'ve

Mmmmmmmmmmm sandalwood. Smells like a man\'s underarm after he showers.

is that a hint
Yes, that is why precious woods (especially sandalwood, oud) figure prominently in Pheros.

Since y\'all are my homies in here, I am
picking this thread, my scentimental favorite, to let everybody
know that I\'ve made a new perfume, but not just a perfume; and that it will now be available at
love-scent!! My new cologne, Pheros, will be available within the week.
I think it will be a very
good thing, and will fill a niche that has needed filling since this whole pheromone thing started. I have been
working on it for 15 months or so, and am very excited about it; as it gives me a chance to put into practice many
of the things I\'ve been talking about since I came to l-s! I\'ll give much more information soon.
Those of
you who want to learn some more advanced info about perfuming may want to engage in the discussion about the
product. \"Case studies\" are a more advanced way to learn in many fields. So I\'m going to be providing some
intermediate information about perfuming, and using Pheros to illustrate some points. And while the purpose
of discussing Pheros in the first place is in part marketing-related, I will have fun making the content of my
discussions educational. The creation of the perfume and all that was involved seems like an interesting story.
I\'ll start a new thread for that, but will continue to post basic information about perfuming here, as
usual.
Thanks to everybody who has participated in this fun thread!

its your fault that I went out and purchased myself a rather expensive bottle of sandlewood EO,

is correct about smelling it first -- I need to get some on me and let it stew before I buy.

SRH...this is the one that I will
make first. I ordered the carnation as well as some other oils to make the other recipes in this book. I am having a
hard time finding Cassis oil.
SPICE
30 drops of
Bergamot
18 drops of Carnation
18 drops of Sandalwood
12 drops of Patchouli
6 drops of Cedarwood
Dilute to
fill a 1/4 ounce bottle
This place has black
currant oil, which I believe is aka cassis oil.

It sounds kinda yummy. I will have to look back through this thread and see what I\'ve got that
I can make.
SRH-
Thanks for the
link. I found some fun stuff that I haven\'t been able to locate elsewhere.

Yes, black currant =
cassis, as far as I know.
I love carnation! But it\'s very pricey!

I am not getting the 100% oil. I am getting one of those bouquet mixes where they use some
carnation, as well as other essential oils. I don\'t believe it has any sythetics in it.
Famous last words...

DST....I have a recipe I want to
try that has a small amount (compared to the other oils) of Pine Balsam. Do you think I would change the recipe
drastically if I used Fir in its place? There are 75 drops of other oils and only 6 of the Pine.
Well, one is not an exact
substitute for the other. The pine balsam is a little mellower, so maybe use one or two less drops of the fir. I
love pine, but go ahead and try it! Spruce is even another, more meaty kettle of fish, and a very nice one. You just
have to smell them a lot, imagining them in a perfume, to get the differences.
Thanks Doc. I\'ll just make a
trip to Whole Foods and get the Pine Balsam.
One more question...... I will have all of the oils for making a
perfume that has 18 drops patchouli, 9 vanilla, 9 amber, 30 neroli, and 18 jasmine. The jasmine that I own is a 10%
dilute, but it smells so strong. All of the other oils I will be using will be used full strength. By how much
should I increase the jasmine?
That\'s a tough one, but
you want to use 10x as much if the neroli is full strength. Those are some expensive oils there! All bets are off if
anything is synthetic.
We have Whole Foods here, too.

The ones above I just mentioned are all 100% essential
oils that I purchased at Camden-grey. The only ones that probably have synthetics are some of the little drams of
oil that I purchased today like Frangipani, Gardenia, musk.....I just can\'t even consider shelling out the money
for the real stuff.
I was blown away when I saw the prices.

I love camden-grey. They are located here in
Miami. I think they are better than the Aura Cacia oils by far. The prices are by far the cheapest too. For someone
like you and me, Camden-Grey is perfect. We don\'t need to spend 4 times the amount on a \"better\" quality oil,
because we would never be able to tell the difference. I am not
saying the Camden-Grey isn\'t a great quality

Now that it\'s all mixed
and mellowed, the bitter orange in Randy Pants is growing on me. I am starting to like it.
I made the recipe that I posted
here called \"Tropical\"
When you first put it on you smell beautiful, exotic fruits and flowers. When it drys
down it smells like you just stepped out of the shower. It smells like soap. I love it. It is not me at all. I
don\'t feel it fits how I am, but I would wear it when I was not out to cause trouble. SRH...I will send you some
but I want to make a few more in the next few days to send at once.
